Uzugumo (ウズグモ, Uzugumo), is a spider of Kyōyōami Forest. He hangs out in the Dry Lands, just north of the forest, and is a member of the Sakuzenriku Gang (索然陸団, Sakuzenriku-dan; Literally meaning "Dry Lands Gang").
Personality[]
Uzu is rather stoic, and doesn’t say much. He serves as a second in command to Ryōshi, and his serious demeanor balances out Ryōshi’s wilder temperament. The other spiders in the gang often look to Uzu for guidance on things, as he is the most mature of the group. This can be seen when they decide if they should show Kazō where he can gather nature energy.
Appearance[]
Uzugumo is a large enough to have people ride on his back. He is a brown spider with green legs and green stripes down his back. His spinnerets are long compared to other spiders.
Abilities[]
Like most spiders, Uzu is very agile. However, like the rest of the Sakuzenriku Gang, his physical speed is greater than that of the average spider. He is able to swiftly chase down a target, and as such, he does not build standard webs.
The silk produced by Uzu's spinnerets is not sticky. Instead, he uses it to create funnel-shaped webs to tangle an opponent in. His Web Whirlwind and Web Labyrinth techniques use these funnel-like webs in various ways.

- Uzugumo is a grass spider, a type of areneomorph funnel-web spider. These spiders are known for chasing prey instead of making sticky webs.
