Sayaka (明か) is a female minor Akatsuki member with the fair Kurama Clan Kekkei Genkai. Oc owned by SnowyIceWhisper
Background[]
Sayaka was born in Konoha and about the same age as Naruto, Sauske and the other people. Her parents are unknown since they both died protecting the village from the Nine-Tail's attack. Sayaka was sent to her foster parents who raised her for most of her life.

Personality[]
Sayaka used to be outgoing and bright at the Academy but when she graduated, she became cold and untrusting while in her heart, terrified of many things.
Appearance[]
While she was in the Academy, Sayaka often wore shoulder-less shirts. She often wore a skirt underneath that and tights on her legs. She had her hair up only in 2 buns.
Abilities[]
Sayaka has powerful Genjutsu able to kill which is part of her Kekkei Genkei. She has poor Taijutsu mainly because she doesn't rely much on physical offense. She mainly uses Ninjutsu for offense and defense due to poor Taijutsu and uncontrollable Genjutsu.
Kekkei Genkai[]
Sayaka has a fairly strong Kurama Clan Kekkei Genkai. When she uses her Kekkei Genkei, she loses half of her sanity, meaning she knows what she needs to do but overdoes it. Because of this reason, she doesn't use it often. She only uses it when she is in a special condition.
Chakra Nature[]
Sayaka's chakra natures are Wind Release and Ying-Yang Release. For information on them go here and here.

Part I[]
Sayaka was adopted by her foster parent Inoichi Yamanaka making her the adopted sister to Ino Yamanaka when she was found in a destroyed house after the Nine-Tails attack. Her parents are unknown because either they didn't want her or they died protecting the village.
Chunin Exams Part 1[]
After Sayaka graduated from the academy, she was sorted into Team 21. During the Chunin Exams, she was given the heaven scroll to protect. When they entered the arena place, they were immediately picked off by a slightly older team due to the fact that by then, her Clan was unknown. She was then capture by the team and questioned. She lied that her teammates didn't trust her to keep a roll safe so the other team wouldn't get the heaven scroll. The other team decided to use her to get Sayaka to get her teammates to come to the other team. When Sayaka's other 2 teammates got there, the other team was ready. They fought but Team 21 was weaker than the opponent team and admitted defeat. However, Sayaka didn't want to give up, she used the Genjutsu that she had practiced but this accidentally triggered her Kekkei Genkei. Losing some of her sanity, she managed to kill 2 of the opponents before she ran out of chakra. She lost consciousness and the other team's last member escaped. Later, her teammates helped heal her and they continued the exams. At that same time, the Third Hokage saw that she had used the dangerous Kekkei Genkei of the Kurama Clan, therefore giving her the last name of Kurama.
Chunin Exams Part 2[]
When the Hidden Sound and Sand attacked the Leaf, Sayaka wasn't there to fight because she was badly injured from the first part of the Exams. However, in the chaos of the attacks, a Akatsuki member managed to sneak into where Sayaka was resting. This member had seen Sayaka's performance in the first part of the Chunin Exams and decided to recruit her. While, Sayaka was sleeping, the Akatsuki member carried her to the Akatsuki's hideout.
