Quartz Release s a rare and specialised field of elemental ninjutsu that can create quartz as well as manipulate already-existing quartz and quartz containing structures. So far, only females have been recorded using this technique and it is thus unknown if genetics plays a role in being able to use the Quarts Release or not.
Orignally, Quartz Release was thought to have originated from Crystal Release. Yet, they have proven to be complete opposites. Where Crystal Release focuses on crystalizing phycial properties, Quartz Release focuses on crystalizing raw energy and chakra. Quarts is natrually resistant to Fire and high levels of pressure, as the substance it's self was created from the most intence heat and pressure over thousands of years.
Most Quartz Release users focus on building and defence with this release as it's high deribility allows it to take a ferice beating and keep on standing. The most used Technique is the Quartz Zoo where the user created multiple animals out of quartz to rampage on the battle feild, cause hystaria and massive damage. Changing the landscape is also a frequently used tactic for Quartz Release users.

- Ritsumei Shuhou has taken the Quartz Zoo technique and expounded upon it. Creating differently colored groups of animals made out of quartz. Her favorite being a pride of lions created from milky quartz.
- Isaku Sarutobi perfered to use the Quartz to phycially enhanse her body and, after the loss of her right arm, uses the quartz to make a replacement which functions just as a normal arm would.
- Like Crystal Release, Quartz release is affected by specific sound wave frequencies.
