Meimou (迷妄,メイモウ) is the genjutsu of the Shuko clan. This genjutsu is inherited by blood, therefore, it can not be learned or used by those who do not belong to the clan.

Abilities

Meimou is a powerful genjutsu that implants fake memories into the opponent's mind, making them believe whatever the user chooses. It is extremely versatile in that it can turn foes into friends within a matter of seconds. An expert user can even perform Meimou on several enemies at once.

During the genjutsu, the user can see the real memories of the victim, even memories pushed into deep inaccessible corners of the unconscious brain. When the genjutsu is over, the repressed memories are still left inaccessible to its owner.

Limitations

Meimou can only be used when the user touches the enemy, which can become extremely risky to perform against Taijutsu specialist. A regular child can use Meimou for about five minutes, while a well trained adult can hold it on as long as he needs. Meimou consumes large amounts of chakra, making it hard for children to use it for longer periods of time.
