Jiro Son (孫 次郎, Son Jiro) is a shinobi from Hoshigakure. He is known as both “The Monkey Sage” and “Yokozuna” for his relationship with his monkey summons and his fellow shinobi. He is one of the most respected ninja of the village, but has refused to become the Hoshikage more than once. He owns a permanent residence in Hoshigakure, the monkey homeland, and somewhere secret that he has yet to reveal. Recently, the sage has begun traveling the nations to get a better understanding of the natural energy around him.

Personality[]
Many times Jiro is very serious. There are very select few people who have been able to see other sides of him. His summons (Empa and Endo) are some of the only beings that have been able to see Jiro drop the mask he puts over himself. He often plays the part of the strong silent type, he is never really outspoken, but he has a love for his village. He is seen going out of his way and comfort zone to make the lives of the villagers’ lives better, now that he has begun his journey, he misses it. The one soft spot that Jiro has is children, he will always be nice to children. He has been seen giving some of his fruit to children when they ask. He hardly smiles, but he does around his animals and around children. When in the heat of battle, Jiro is calm and collected; he has been seen to show mercy to the enemies he is facing, but there are some that cannot be reasoned with; he knows this too well.
Appearance[]
Jiro has long unkempt indigo hair which waves wildly but fluidly while he battles. He has tan colored skin that looks gray during the night. He has a tattoo of Ruyi Jingu Bang, a legendary staff, on his right forearm. His eyebrows are wild looking, and his eyes are gray. He wears armor mesh underneath his clothing and his favorite overcoat to use is a dark color with a fleece lining. Jiro has a thick body type, some have described him as having the body of a tree trunk, but even with his heavy nature, he is still quite fluid and flexible in his movements. He always wears his Hoshigakure headband. When in sage mode, Jiro develops black circles around his eyes, his irises turn a golden color, his nails turn black, and his hair becomes white. Sometimes blue chakra whisps can be seen emanating from his body while in sage mode.

Kekkei Genkai[]
Jiro implements fire release and earth release to use lava Release. Many of his techniques were derived from the legends of Roshi and the Four Tailed Beast. He was able to recreate the lava chakra shroud over his body despite not having a tailed beast, this is just a testament to his skill as a shinobi. With his overall skill he is able to imbue his lava release into his weapons which he uses frequently in battle. He uses his kekkei genkai as one would typically imagine this jutsu being used (with molten rock and fire rather than corrosive substances). He has also learned a couple techniques from his Monkey companions but he mainly uses them with his chakra shroud.
Ninjutsu[]
Jiro is a very well adept ninjutsu user. He is very skilled in both the earth, fire, and lava releases. He is so well versed in certain techniques that he was hailed as a sage, specifically due to his relationships to his monkey summons. He is able to summon both Empa and Endo, two twin monkeys that aid in battle and help him accomplish amazing team techniques. He is able to use a number of named jutsu, developed usually by other lava style users such as the 4 tailed jinchuuriki, and a number of unnamed, on the fly, jutsu. While Jiro is able to use fire, earth, and lava, he has never been shown to be able to use any other type of chakra nature. He also almost never uses fuinjutsu because he doesn’t feel like he needs it.
Bukijutsu[]
Jiro has many different weapons at his disposal. He excels in more unpopular types of weapons to get around the ninja norm. He is able to handle most weapons with ease and carries a lot to use in battle. He is able to summon different weapons using seals that are found in various scrolls he carries on him as well as in hidden locations. He has many phases during his ninja career where he would use different weapons as his main ones, he is still able to summon the ones he has used in the past, but most of his older weapons have broken due to extended use.
Shurikenjutsu[]
Jiro uses different types of weapons and shuriken. His favorite type of shuriken is created using his rock shuriken jutsu rather than an actual shuriken. Jiro is able to use shuriken jutsu fairly well but he is more known for his taijutsu. Therefore there are plenty of people who are able to beat him in shuriken combat.
Taijutsu[]
Jiro is very gifted in this type of jutsu. He is well versed in the drunken fist, monkey, tiger, snake, and mantis fighting styles. He has been shown to be able to take care of many Jonin level opponents at the same time. One of his older friends has told colleagues that Jiro can only be beaten by those who are greater than him in taijutsu because he is so well versed in implementing his jutsu into taijutsu. Jiro is able to amplify his abilities specifically his strength with sage jutsu and natural energy.
Senjutsu[]
Jiro was taught how to use senjutsu with Monkey Style Sage Mode. It is much like the other styles of sage mode but with the characteristics of monkey style combat and traits. He can use his sage chakra to enhance his different abilities like ninjutsu and taijutsu. Empo and Endo are able to conjure up natural energy through themselves while Jiro is battling and can transfer all of it to him with the touch of their hands. The right hand of Empo and the left hand of Endo. All three of them can combine the chakra they store up to make combined attacks and jutsu.
Intelligence[]
He is very intelligent, battle-wise. He is often strategizing during the fight while he is completing the steps he has already thought out. He feels as though in order to change his opponents mind he must beat them completely. Jiro is especially adept at being the one to go into the battle before the rest of his team, he likes to weed out the ones in the front and penetrate deeper into the enemies defenses. Jiro is skilled with working with teams, usually opting to work with his summons in a three man team, and following the plans created for the battle. Jiro is able to think faster than a lot of opponents leading to him predicting moves that his opponent does before they even do it. Even though he is intelligent in battle, he does not always understand the scenario and has lost a number of battles due to his lack of understanding the enemy.
