Basics

Hitteki Toshiwakai (Toshi) ひってきとしわかい ( とし) , is the main original character in the Fan based (term for "author taking advise and ideas form the reader") Naruto fanfiction series Naruto: ''The Hitteki Scrolls written by artist and author Jenny M. Stead. The fanfic series premiered on January 7, 2007 online as a one-shot attempt at writing a short story based upon Naruto character Hatake Kakashi. The story Kakashi's True Rival''''was a humorous attempt at writing calm collective Kakashi in a situation to where he believed that he had control, but in reality he did not. Toshi was introduced originally into the storyline as Kakashi's long lost childhood rival. Her appearance originally included a short sleeved jonin shirt ( Much like the uniform Kakashi wore in the Naruto the Movie: Guardians of the Crescent Moon.), a unzipped chunin vest, her hair very spiky, and her forehead protector tied around her left bicep. Kakashi's True Rival accumulated a small fanbase due to the non-romantic relationship between Kakashi and Toshi, inspiring two more installments into the series ''Conversation with the 3rd, and The Anniversary Truce. After much thought, Jenny began brainstorming a broader scoped plotline. Currently The H-Scrolls has accumulated a huge fanbase after two years in production (Including a fan-inspired shipping of Kakashi and Toshi, known as Kakatoshi) the H-Scrolls is now 13 scrolls long and 5 Filler side stories. Toshi's name originates from two Japanese words. Given Name: Toshiwakai (Meaning Young). Family Name: Hitteki (Meaning Rival). The reason for the name was for her role in the Narutoverse. She is Kakashi's true rival, and their battles began when they were very young. Her personality is very tense, untrusting, and crabby. She has a very low tolerance for anything, and has a short-to-no fuse. She was created to be the exact opposite in personality to Kakashi; to allow them to clash better. Jenny never intended on a romance-based relationship between the two ninja, until her fanbase began enforcing it. It wasn't until Terrible Memories Collide was written that a caring relationship began to grow between the two. Toshi is 26-27 in the first part of the Naruto Manga/Anime. She is 29-30 in the second half. Her birthday is July 2nd, and is two months older than Kakashi. Toshi's debut in the storyline sets her as a Jonin. By the end of the two-part series she will be an elder in the Konoha Council. She's mean to look overly tomboyish, and less-than-caring of her appearance. She's not interested in impressing anyone, (especially Kakashi). Her outfit begins as a basic ninja uniform entirely mirroring Kakashi's attire. In the middle of the "Filler Arc" of the anime Toshi's outfit changes to a red top and short pants, black strapped sandals, a red forehead protector, black metal-guard gloves, and a black sleeveless overcoat with gold trim on the color and an uzumaki patch on the back. She changes this appearance before her Genin's chunin exam in celebration of her new rank as 2nd in command of mission assigning and Chief of ANBU.
