Hitsuke Sarutobi (さるとびヒツケ) is a jōnin ranked shinobi from Konohagakure. As the only child of Asuma Sarutobi and Kurenai Yūhi, he belongs to the Sarutobi clan. He is the leader of Team Hitsuke, which consists of Inoue Yamanaka, Shikadai Nara and Chōki Akimichi.
Background[]
Despite being a kid who grew up without a father, Hitsuke had a very happy childhood. This was mostly because Shikamaru took care of him, just like Asuma asked him to.

Once Nao was born, he adopted her as his younger sister and enjoyed teaching her games and eating candies together. They were often seen playing and fighting like real siblings, but they would always reconcile before returning home.
From the veru first moment, he was taught about the will of fire. This made him interested in the academy and in following in the footsteps of his parents.
He is very respectful of traditions. Although he was annoyed when he learned that Naruto did not choose Konohamaru to lead the sixteenth generation of Ino-Shika-Chō, instead of communicating his opinion, he offered himself to be the one to lead the team.
Despite Hitsuke's young age and the fact he just became a jōnin, Naruto saw how determinated he was. Naruto asked him to fight his cousin, and promised him he will lead the team if he wins.
Personality[]
It is generally seen with a relaxed attitude. Hitsuke doesn't take many things seriously besides the missions and rarely loses his temper.
However, he is of the kind of person who gets involved in the problems of the people who he really cares about, even when he knows that it will bring him problems, such as when Nao is stubborn about getting help.
Appearance[]
Hitsuke is a well-built and very tall man with red eyes, olive skin, short black curly and fluffy hair. He wears Konoha's standard unifiorm.
Abilities[]
Hitsuke got from Shikamaru his father's chakra kunais which he combines with his Taijutsu. Despite being Fire his natural release, he learned Wind jutsus from Temari.

- Hitsuke (火附) can be translated to "attached to fire".
- Unlike his mother, Hitsuke likes cake and sweets.
- Hitsuke and Nao resolve their disputes wrestling.
- Hitsuke's creator likes Mirai very much but she didn't exist when Hitsuke was created.
