Ganjō (頑丈, Ganjō) was a shinobi of Konohagakure who fought in the Second Shinobi World War.
Background[]
Ganjō was born near the border of the Land of Fire and Land of Rivers. His family would later move into Konoha proper and would attend the Academy. During this time many people stated that he resembled the first Hokage, Hashirama, something that greatly annoyed Ganjō growing up. At the age of 8, both of his parents died, leaving him to be raised in an orphanage.
Personality[]
Ganjō was a resourceful and respectful individual who held a strong loyalty towards his village. He was a firm believer of the Will of Fire and saw the whole village of Konoha as his family. Despite this, he was quick to anger when his village or its people were insulted and often had to be calmed down by a teammate.
He was also shown to have a great admiration of Hashirama due to his first memory being of the First Hokage. Despite this, he got annoyed when people compared his appearance to Hashirama.
Appearance[]
Ganjō was a tall individual who possessed green eyes, waist-length black hair and tan skin. His attire consisted of a plain grey shirt underneath a green jacket with black highlights and cuffs, dark grey shinobi pants, sandals and a light grey scarf. He also wore a black eyepatch over his damaged right eye.
His overall appearance has been stated by many people to resemble Hashirama Senju.
Abilities[]
Taijutsu[]
Wishing to focus on taijutsu rather than ninjutsu or genjutsu, Ganjō set himself a grueling training regimen since he was young. Because of this training, he is physically strong, allowing him to use the Strong Fist fighting style. This same training has also made him incredibly fast, allowing him to outpace most shinobi.
Story[]
Redeployment Arc[]
Ganjō is first seen when Team Cho Li arrives to one of the Konoha camps in the Land of Rainfall. Shortly after their arrival, Ganjō is tasked by Cho Li to help improve Saya's taijutsu. After meeting Saya and evaluating her abilities, he sets her on a training regimen to increase her strength and stamina. He also began to teach her several taijutsu techniques.
